He is still drawing a crowed!

February 3, 2019

Blog Post: Here is another time that Jesus was teaching and a crowd pressed in to see... “One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret, the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭5:1‬. In John 12:32 Jesus says, that when He is lifted up that He will draw all men unto him. There is verse after verse and story after story of the crowds gathering and pressing into Jesus. The story of Zacchaeus tell us that even a sinner will climb a tree to catch a glimpse of the Savior. I am hearing so many in the Christian world today proclaim that anything of God won’t draw a crowd. They use this theory to discount the the ministry of a mega church or popular ministry. I probably once held this belief, too. But I don’t see it that way any more. Yes, hard hitting truth is difficult and can scatter a crowd but Jesus always spoke the truth and sinners and tax collectors gathered because the truth, although hard, brings great comfort to those who are so empty inside. God taught me long ago to never judge a church by it size. If it is small it doesn’t mean it is not effective in the kingdom..they may be exactly what God has called them to be. But I also do not judge a large church to be mushy or soft in the gospel truth either. You see I have served in both...I have seen great moves of God in both. My admonition to the church today is to “get off each other” and start focusing on what God is calling YOU to do. As a minister of the gospel I WILL NOT build my ministry on the criticism of someone else’s. My job is to point the world to Jesus...not point fingers at my brother and sisters. Please don’t take comfort in your small by trying to cast doubt on someone else’s growth. #consumedbythecall #itsnotaboutme
